Michael Manring, considered by many to be the world’s leading solo bassist, has joined both the Markbass and Markaudio families as an endorsing artist. "My Markaudio system is a dream come true for me,” he says. “The clarity and richness of the sound field is breathtaking. I use it not only to amplify my bass, but to reference recordings in my studio as well.”

On September 21, 2007, Markaudio presented its AS Series line of powered speakers to the hundreds of industry professionals and musicians in attendance. Most participants were able to personally speak with sound designer Foffo Bianchi, listen to some OAS configurations with recorded music and, at times, during live sessions conducted by an entourage of artists at the Markbass stand.

Born in Reggello (FI), February 8, 1944. From 1972 to 1979 I worked at RCA as a producer, where I was able to complete my entire professional sound engineering training with an emphasis on studio recording. Since 1979, I’ve divided my time between freelance record producing and sound engineering. For the past several years I’ve been mainly involved in recording live music events (concerts and TV broadcasts), overseeing both sound reinforcement and recording. My passion for audio has also led me to teach audio engineering. I’ve worked with many acclaimed Italian artists as a live engineer, producer and recording engineer.

 Two years of research conducted by a close team of industry professionals has resulted in the birth of a new brand in the professional audio world: MARKAUDIO. The international preview of the first line of products, AS (Active System), will be presented at MEET Milano on September 21, 2007.
