On September 21, 2007, Markaudio presented its AS Series line of powered speakers to the hundreds of industry professionals and musicians in attendance.
Most participants were able to personally speak with sound designer Foffo Bianchi, listen to some OAS configurations with recorded music and, at times, during live sessions conducted by an entourage of artists at the Markbass stand. The AS 601 and AS 602 powered speakers instantly surprised listeners with their accurate reproduction of the full frequency range, fast response time in reproducing transients and, despite their small size, the energy and precision they convey in lower ranges. After listening to the systems (both with and without subwoofers) the vote was unanimous: AS speakers provide superior sound performance, construction quality and peerless weight/sound/power ratios!
